Kid-Friendly and Fun Brownie Mix
Having children are fun and at times a handful. Now there is a way, to keep them occupied and learn how to bake at the same time.
You can whip up a large batch of the brownie mix and store it in a tightly sealed container. Then All the little ones (and the big ones too), all I do is double the recipe below and divide it each time they want to bake (this allows the kids two separate baking adventures).
Adventure Brownie Mix
1 c. plus 2 tbsp. flour
2/3 c. brown sugar, packed
¾ tsp. salt
2/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/3 c. cocoa
½ c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
½ c. walnuts, chopped (optional)
Combine all the above ingredients and store in an airtight container until ready to use.
Now when you and the little one is ready to bake, all you will need to do is add the following ingredients.
2/3 c. vegetable oil
1 tsp. vanilla
In a bowl, beat the eggs, oil and vanilla. Then add the brownie mix and stir well. Pour batter into a greased 9 inch square pan. Bake at 350 for 34-38 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Allow to cool before cutting.
Then sit back and enjoy. Be sure to tell your little helper, what a great job he/she did.
