A New Pie To Share For Thanksgiving!


Yesterday, I had one of my kitchen assistants at the college make 9 of these wonderful, simple and delicious pies for the students today. I’m sure they will be happy eating them. I’ll know when I come back to work this Sunday, for I have today and tomorrow off (very well deserved).

Apple Custard Pie

Apple Custard Pie
1 ½ c. applesauce
½ c. sugar
½ tsp. Cinnamon
3 eggs, beaten
¼ tsp. Salt
1 ½ c. milk
1 9 inch deep dish pie shell
Preheat oven to 450.
Combine ingredients and pour into pie shell and bake for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 and bake for additional 45 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
